Africa Games Week 2022

Africa Games Week 2022 was a resounding success, with over 5,000 visitors through the Workshop 17 space over the 3 days of the event. We held 4 conferences, including Make Games Africa, Africa Streamcon, Games For Change Africa and Mobile Growth Summit Africa.

#AGW22 had 600+ VIP attendees from across the globe, including 86 speakers from 22 African countries and 13 countries from Europe, the UK, the USA, Canada and the Middle East.

We showcased multiple African game industry related businesses and institutions at a live exhibition and added a curated interactive digital arts and media installation, Me + The Machine, which allowed attendees and the general public to immerse themselves in the gaming industry, learning through virtual reality and one-on-one interactions.

There were representatives from 550 companies present; Directors, senior management, junior execs, and government officials, including game developers, publishers, investors, distributors, hardware and software companies, and the end users.

Africa Games Week hosted 1,760 meetings between those representatives in the buyers’ lounge, making the B2B meeting platform very successful this year.

Africa Games Week proudly remains the largest gathering of African game industry leaders in the world and is the only event that allows the international game industry to easily source and connect with inspiring African Game Developers, Creators, and Corporates.
