Africa’s Premier Gaming Summit, Africa Games Week, Announces December 2026 Dates for Cape Town

Africa’s annual gaming summit, Africa Games Week (AGW), is set to take place once again in the South African Mother City of Cape Town from 6 – 8 December 2026. AGW is the largest gathering of African game developers, publishers, and industry leaders in the world, its main mission is to elevate the African gaming industry, facilitate high-level deal-making, and showcase the incredible talent emerging across our breathtaking continent of Africa.
Africa Games Week is recognised as the leading business event for the African Gaming Industry. By bridging the gap between global capital and local creativity, AGW provides a platform for African studios to scale and for international stakeholders to discover the next frontier of the global games market.
The three-day programme features a robust programme of conferences, exhibitions and networking sessions designed to connect global partners to emerging opportunities in the region’s rapidly growing games industry.

The 2026 theme is ‘Levelling the Foundation: Constructing Africa’s Gaming Engine’, as AGW aims to shift focus from merely showcasing talent to building foundational systems that will sustain a thriving gaming industry across Africa.
