Play Games Africa (PGA) is the latest edition to Africa Games Week.

#PlayGamesAfrica (PGA) is the latest addition to #AfricaGamesWeek and aims to provide a space to look at the professional and casual importance of #esports as a whole.

#PGA will include :

Exploring the business of esports; from managing and monetising competitive gaming, to organising and hosting tournaments, casting for tournaments, and managing professional teams and players in the esports arena.

Connecting the developers creating the games played on the African continent to the gamers themselves.

Supporting gaming associations in promoting, connecting, and protecting their players and preparing them to engage with international brands.

Addressing international sponsorship of teams and players, ownership, and investment opportunities on African soil.

#AfricaStreamCon is being incorporated into Play Games Africa, with workshops on how to grow your social streaming networks, how to master your online charisma, hacks to get your audience talking, and what’s next for Streamers on the African Continent.

Play Games Africa shines a spotlight on a growing industry and speaks to the players, creators, brands, and sponsors looking to get involved in what is happening in the Global South.

The event will be taking place between the 27th of November and the 2nd of December 2023 at Workshop 17, V&A Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa.
